AdSense Sucks? Another Solution To Monetize Your Blog!
Recently, Google is acting really weird… Their shares prices are increasing very fast (From around $400 2 years ago to more than 600$ today)… Google is monopolizing the WWW just like the may Microsoft has been monopolizing the desktop market for decades. Today, Google is making more and more enemies by following some stupid strategies. I can never trust Google anymore! I see bad reviews everywhere and webmaster have become a bit more aware. How does it feel like to see a Page Ranked 8 blog dropping to 5 (The very popular blog: OneMansBlog.com). Webmasters are doing what Google asks and guess what, they’re getting punished!
How many times have you ever checked their Adsense Optimization Tips! I did so many times follow their tips and I end up “Smart Priced”. I mean why shall I show Google Ads on the top of my page to make it more noticed but the ad click will have a lower probability to make a conversion then you get smart priced (Your ad click price drops damatically). Imagine earning around 0.4$ per click, and you have around 150 ad clicks on your websites daily! You might wanna rely on that average of 1800$ per month and maybe quit your Job… But listen, Google is the one you cannot trust today… They can ban you at anytime, or maybe lowering the CPC on your websites 10 times and you end up earning around 200$ if not less with no alternative job! I mean if one of the best and most ethical bloggers (example: John - OneMansBlog.com) gets punished, how can you trust such a system?
I decided last week to remove my Adsense Ads from all my websites and tried WidgetBucks! Guess what! I’m making 10 times more with that system, their widgets are cool. Google ads have become so popular that a non technical grandmother would recognize them as Ads… I have a higher CTR with Widget Ads, higher CPC and I can choose what ads to publish. They’re new of course and you can never know whether they’re gonna make it or not, but giving them a shot is worth it!

I have long bad experience with google adsense and not putting and big hopes on my last came back.
However widgetbucks looks great from all sides the ads are attractive they’re highly paid and interesting.
I placed the ads on my website 12 hours ago and made around 14 bucks which is simply incredible!
However people are aware of it but still thousands of websites are signing every day.
As you said elie, let’s give them a shot and see what they can do

WidgetBucks is great, but I still make more with Chitika. In fact, over the last year I compiled some statistics of my earnings and I actually earned four times more with Chitika. Startups listed on Bizak.com who have Google Adsense as their revenue model earn only $0.06 per visitor (EPV). Even with those low numbers 21.5% of all startups listed (on Bizak) rely on Adsense as their primary revenue source.

You guys should really try adbrite to make money. They’re even better than adsense and they do send you your money. you can make about 200$ a day if you really work on it and have a good strategy.

Hey you published this article back in 2007, is it still valid is Widget Bucks better than Adsense?
I was with adsense before and they disabled my account of click fraud:P And I have been trying to get it back, I changed my URL and still no luck.

I’m not sure it’s still valid John and I believe there are much better alternatives that Google Adsense. What I would suggest is building unique contents and a shipload of traffic. Monetizing that would be easier than you think.
