Howdy!
Welcome to my blog. I’m Elie Khoury, from the ancient city of Lebanon – Byblos, breathing since 1985. I love beautiful things, from photography, drawings, digital art to software user interfaces. On the other hand, I’m still a core software developer & a geek who madly enjoys technology. I was never able though to separate Arts from Science, and that’s why Fusion has always been my nickname.
What I do
I am the co-founder and lead developer at iFusion Labs, LLC, the company behind Woopra.
Beside Woopra, I’m also the co-founder of YallaStartup, Inc. YallaStartup is an NGO trying to solve unemployment problems in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) by fostering entrepreneurship and building a suitable eco-system in the region.

What I like
I’ve been a musician since I was 8 when I started playing piano. At 14, I got my 1st Classical Guitar (Nylon Guitar)! A year after, I got my Electric Guitar. I played almost all styles, starting from Classical Rock, heavy metal, black metal… I formed 2 bands, Magma and The Sailors Blues Band and ended up a blues/jazz Guitarist & Tutor.
Meanwhile, I had the same passion to Computer Programming! It’s a way to express your creativity without the need of capital. I started programming at the age of 12 (coded some mIRC scripts). I built my first website when I was 17, and after that, my programming skills kept evolving until we came out with what’s called today Woopra!
I also love Digital Design, animations & eye candy Graphical User Interfaces. I have always believed that the user interface IS what makes the tremendous difference between a software and another.
Some background
My main language is arabic since I live in Lebanon. I am Christian and I love everyone 
I’m french educated. So my second Language is the stupid language “French” (I still like it though 
).
I graduated from the english Lebanese American University in 2007. It’s just a good place for politics, showing off, ohh and messing around the cafeteria.
My Personal Life
Beside my work and music, I’m still a geek… I spend my free time in front of my computer which is one of the easiest way to socialize with people.
I actually spend my (little) free time chatting with the visitors of my websites. I really think that Woopra has changed the ways of interaction on the Web by breaking the barrier between the webmaster and the visitor.
Beside my digital life, I do love hanging out with good friends of mine. I enjoy pubs, watching live blues bands, driving to Faraya, drinking wine and of course having some beers at sansoul Jbeil (where I grew up).
I met a lot of new friends on my website, you may be one of them. If you have anything to ask I enjoy reading emails from my visitors, so make sure you send me an email and I promise that I’ll reply (usually instantly).
