Errr… I dunno how to start!

It has been a year since we started working on a Live tracking and analytics service. After uncountable days and nights of massive work and brainstorming, me and Jad Younan (co-founders) came up with this new service that remained a top secret until this month.

After getting to a point where we felt the application was nearing a point for launch, we made the strategic decision to seek out a partner who could help us with financing, marketing, and general business structure. John Pozadzides seemed like a natural fit, because of his experience as a Director and Vice President in two major multi-national corporations (SAVVIS and Cable & Wireless) as well as his experience as Chief Marketing Officer for Layered Technologies. The fact that he is also a well known celebrity blogger and has an impeccable reputation is bonus.

During the Dallas WordCamp 2008 event, John Pozadzides has revealed Woopra to the public. People admired the idea. Tens of thousands of bloggers and webmasters have signed up and added their websites that are being approved on daily basis. We are trying to make it available for everyone, so it’s gonna take time to have an EXTREMELY scalable and STABLE system in order to have millions of webmasters using Woopra.

Do you hold an MTC Touch fixed line? We have developed at Fusion Media Labs a nice and simple tool that keeps you up-to-date with your MTC Touch bill.

Why did we develop that? Simply not to get chocked in the end of every month! This way you can keep track of your bill status every time it updates and you’ll get a Toast Notification on the bottom right of your desktop (Similar to MSN Messenger’s notifications).

I had enough troubles this month while I was transferring this blog and some other websites to a new dedicated server. The fact is that I suck in server administration and it’s not at all my main focus. So what happened is that when I moved my websites including this blog to the new dedicated server, it crashed in less than a week and I lost about 3 articles because I didn’t have backups… I’m sorry for all those friends who commented on these new posts! Now they’re gone. Anyway, I wanted to find a good shared hosting plan to host my websites, so I’ve done researches for about a week and asked for reviews from webmasters about some known hosting plans; and guess what? Hostgator.com Baby hosting plan was the best… No one ever had a problem with that hosting company, amazing support really!

So… I hope I won’t get into troubles anymore because I’m really sick of transferring my websites, backing up and stuff!

The version 3 design of Fusion Live Blog was created in 2 days. The version 2 design was basicaly inspired by Mac OSX (iPod) website’s theme which consisted of a black background and rich in colors links. Obviously, this new design was inspired by Microsoft Office 2003/2007. Inspired by Microsoft yea! and showing the Linux Tux on the top of the page (fusion). Anyway, I have always been a big fan of Windows graphical user interface.

I’m still experimenting the Google Adsense performance on Wordpress blogs. If this template performs well, I’ll release it for free and I will also release soon the Version 2 design of Fusion Live Blog… Stay tuned!

I was working on a module for an application of mine, and I’ve been struggling and searching in order to come up with a Google PageRank detector. I came up with a cool and accurate solution and I would love to share it with you.
