They call me the Chief Eye Candy Officer at Woopra. My tasks are mostly on the front end design and development, ranging from the website, billing system to the Desktop Application. So, if for any reason Woopra crashes, I’m the one to be blamed!
Woopra was an idea that we came up with a while back. In early 2007, we decided to make it happen. We spent amazing days and night doing research & development until March 2008, that’s when we had a beta ready to tease the wild. I can’t tell you how excited I am to see it growing this fast every day. If you have a website, you should give it a try, the Basic package is good enough for you to give it a test drive. Launching Woopra from Lebanon was not a good idea, knowing that the startups eco-system in the Middle East and North Africa is noticeably weak. We had to setup our HQ in the US to benefit from their system & make good connections especially that Woopra’s market is global. During that process, I was able to nail down what’s keeping the MENA from flourishing in the global startup scene. I partnered up with top notch entrepreneurs from the region (Habib Haddad from Yamli and Sami Shalabi from Google) and came up with YallaStartup, a solution that connects the dots for a better entrepreneurial environment.
YallaStartup Inc. is seed funded by Cisco Inc and currently supported by the World Economic Forum.
And as Leonardo Da Vinci said: “I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.” In other words, Da Vinci was saying YallaStartup!.

“WP AutoSuggest adds the Auto Suggest support to the WordPress search. The visitor can enter a keyword and the plugin will display a few suggestions via an AJAX request before submitting the search query. The visitor can continue his search by pressing enter or they can use the keyboard arrows (up and down) to visit directly a suggested post.”
I came up with this project because I couldn’t find any good alternative online to use on my blog. I’m aware that it’s still kind of buggy but I’m not updating it because there’s only 24 hours per day. If you feel that you can make it better, please feel free to fork it or request SVN access.
